Inspired by the wings of an airplane, the chair pays homage to Ada Rogato, a female Brazilian air force pioneer, who was also the first pilot to ever fly over the Amazon Forest (also known as the dreaded "green hell") in 1956. My grandmother's named is Ada too, and her husband (my paternal grandfather) granted me the passion of & gift for woodwork. Contoured with aerodynamic lines for a light, comfortable and unpretentious design while made of Ibama-approved massive wood for statement purposes, this handcrafted piece was designed around principles of ergonomics and functionality.
